Emily McIlwaine

Working predominantly with natural fibres, Emily McIlwaine creates woven artworks that are influenced by rhythm, ritual and the delicate balance of tension and ease.

Emily draws from nature to inspire and create her work, making handspun yarns and natural dye pigments to incorporate into designs drawn upon the Bauhaus style.

More recently, Emily has become a mother and is enjoying getting to know her little person while considering her practice direction.
