Gemma Mae Halligan, a theatre maker, specialising in devised theatre and Sinéad O’Neill-Nicholl, a sound installation artist with a research based practice have been exploring the research around femicide by Professor Jane Monckton-Smith.

Surround Sound by Cameron Clarke

Thursday 5th December. 6pm- 9pmSurround Sound' is a sound installation by Cameron Clarke. Set in the public walkway under the Albert Clock, the installation uses various modified vintage hi-fi speakers to play with the resonant reverb of the space, immersing the audience in an alternative subterranean sound world. It's literally underground music.

Last Immediate Moving Images

Last Immediate Moving Images exhibits dancer Maeve McGreevy and filmmaker Tom Hughes visual response to experimental quartet Blue Whale’s sophomore album ‘Last Immediate Images’. The 6 short films, shot in the previous Vault premises on Tower Street in the last days of inhabiting the building, act as a homage to the space, whilst offering a company of living pictures that meditate on memory and perception.

For this year’s International Women’s Day, and for our first show open to artists from outside the Vault artist membership, it seemed fitting to pick ‘Mother’ as our theme. We asked you to submit images of, about, or created by your mother, or someone who performs the mothering role and not limited to the conventional meaning of the word mother. Seventy of you responded with paintings, sculptures, collages, photography, prints, drawings, bunting, embroidery, poetry, installations, textiles, mixed media, digital illustration, and videos. Works that celebrate, commemorate and cherish mothers.

Placards for Palestine

Exhibition and drop-in Workshops.
Placards for Palestine is the fourth instalment in the ongoing series of exhibitions and projects that Vault Artist Studios are holding in our Gallery & Project Space at Marlborough House, this time in conjunction with PS2 and Artists Against Genocide.
On display will be placards and protest banners made by locals artists, community groups and individuals organising and campaigning for an end to the war in Gaza.
