Margaret Woods Moore

Margaret is inspired by the natural world and by people in everyday situations.
Her work is based upon observational drawings which she develops into prints and paintings or reworks into finely detailed and often intricate drawings. She loves to explore new materials and will often incorporate these within her drawings and prints to produce multimedia pieces. Margaret works in fine art and Illustration. Her illustrations have been included in various publications. 
She loves intaglio based printmaking methods which she uses as an extension of her drawing based practice. Her work has been exhibited at home and abroad.
Margaret was a teacher for many years working in mainstream and in special needs. She still maintains an interest in art education by running small workshops.
Since retiring from teaching she has embarked upon a ceramics course at HND Level in Belfast Metropolitan College. She is interested in the use of print processes on clay and in developing a body of three dimensional work to compliment and extend her print and drawing practice.
Margaret is a member of Vault Artists Studios and Belfast Print Workshop. 
Her website is currently under construction but she can often be found at various craft markets and for these she produces drawings and illustrative work, cards and small edition prints.
