Marta Dyczkowska

Marta Dyczkowska (b. 1980, Poland) is a visual artist who predominantly works in video, installation, photography and performance. At the core of her work is a focus on documentary and archive and on highlighting human stories which underpin our public space. Highly personal in nature, her work serves as social commentary. Since graduating in 2018 Marta has had two solo exhibitions and worked with Belfast International Festival as well as Imagine Belfast Festival and Second Collective.

Dyczkowska has won a six month residency at Platform Arts and final year residency with Ulster University. Group exhibitions included: ‘Portrait of Northern Ireland: Neither an Elegy nor a Manifesto’ at Golden Thread Gallery; the ‘Mayor’s Parlour Exhibition’, Belfast City Hall; Highlanes Gallery Open Call 2020’, Drogheda; and Polish Cultural Week’, 2019.

Dyczkowska participated in programs such as Bridging the Gap and the Make Film History- Archives for Education. she is an awardee of Artist Moving Image Northern Ireland.

Former Co-director of Catalyst Arts, Marta is a keen collaborator and advocate of socially engaged art.
