Evergreen — Debut EP from J SHIELDS

Emerging Belfast artist J SHIELDS releases his long awaited EP, this October 17th. Celebrating it’s launch on the 19th in Accidental Theatre.

J SHIELDS is a vocalist, writer and art-pop producer from Belfast. Inspired by nature in his poetic writing style J simplifies the complex parts of our existence by simply observing it in the world around us. Expect ethereal operatic vocals and immersive electronic production with ambient textures and nostalgic grooves with a range of influences from downtempo to trance to footwork and beyond.

J created the EP ‘Evergreen’ which is released on 17 October 2024. It tells an intimate coming of age story. Weathering the storms and embracing closeness, attraction, facing one’s demons and appreciating the young pretender that continued to grow through it all. “The evergreen never fears the autumn”.
