Experimental Drawing Sessions with Sally O’Dowd

As part of Vault artist Sally O'Dowd's contribution to the current Joseph Beuys exhibition at the Ulster Museum, she will be leading two sociable drawing workshops on Tuesday 25 February and Tuesday 25 March at the Ulster Museum, Botanic Gardens, Belfast.

About the artist

Sally O'Dowd is a visual artist and curator with a socially-engaged practice. As a politically-aware artist, her research is concerned with identity (in particular, intimate female ritual) and investigating the role – self selected and enforced – of women in contemporary Irish society. Her work is featured in the current Beuys exhibition at the Ulster Museum.

What to know

  • No level of drawing skills required, just a willingness to be open-minded about what drawing is!

  • There will be physical movement, video and music involved. Please wear comfortable clothing.

  • This is a free event however booking is necessary. Book your place through the ticket link.

  • For ages 16+

Location

The workshops will take place in Art Gallery 4 of the Ulster Museum, Belfast.
