‘Inquiry’ – Chad Alexander
Belfast Exposed
Launch 2nd May 6pm (Late Night Art)
2nd May- 29th June
This exhibition is an ongoing body of work by Chad Alexander. The series was created in Belfast and centres on people, predominantly men, and urban spaces the artist knows personally or has encountered by chance. Alexander explores how conflict has impacted and shaped certain masculine identities, which are often associated with violence and manliness. Unravelling the links between how a heritage of conflict is dealt with and the emergence of new violence upon people and communities.
Exhibition is curated by Dawn Richardson of Hosta Projects. Supported by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, NI Mental Health Arts Festival and Belfast Exposed.
