Sally and Laura head to the supermarket
Vault artist members, Laura Nelson and Sally O’Dowd are super excited to be attending the Supermarket Art Fair and Supermarket Forum.
According to the organisers, ‘this networking event connects participants from the contemporary Swedish art scene with Supermarket’s exhibitors and allows the exhibitors to meet curators, gallerists, art organisers and representatives of art institutions, present their projects in depth and talk to each other and the guests within a simple framework focused on meetings and tours’.
Laura is an artist/signwriter and sometimes producer working as part of the Vault gallery team and is attending the Art Fair as representative of Vault's own artist-led Gallery | Project Space at Marlborough House.
Sally O’Dowd is a recipient of the prestigious Arts Council NI Artist Career Enhancement Scheme, funded by the National Lottery. As well as developing a new body of work, and working with her partner organisation, Ulster Museum, Sally will be making this research trip to Stockholm’s Supermarket Art Fair, alongside fellow Vault Artist and gallery team member, Laura Nelson. Supermarket Art Fair is an international art fair celebrating artist-led initiatives.
Laura and Sally will be sharing their expertise, and bringing back their findings to our own artist-led gallery and project space at Vault Marlborough House.
