Two New Singles from Joshua Burnside
Joshua Burnside has just announced the launch of two new singles – ‘Marching Round the Ladies’ and ‘The Good Life’.
According to Joshua:
‘‘Marching Round the Ladies’ was inspired by an old Belfast folk song that I discovered in the songbook ‘Belfast, City of Song’. I’ve changed the melody and added a few extra verses, one line in particular regarding the Tories has been particularly fun to sing over the past year..
I started writing ‘The Good Life’ whilst driving around trying to get my 6 month old son to sleep. It’s a song about the strange modern experience in a fast-paced, confusing and ultra-capitalist society. It’s also just about drinking too much, I’ll knock it in the head someday!
I’d like to thank all the people involved in the making of these tracks, and in the making of the video for Marching.. Dan and Zarah Byrne McCullough, Miadhachlughain O’Donnell, Maureen Walker, Myles McCormack, Laura Nelson and the lads at React Productions.
Doesn’t matter where you’re from…’
Check out both new tracks now.
