Ryan McGroarty

Ryan McGroarty is a songwriter, producer, mix engineer and musician living in Belfast, N. Ireland. Ryan has been a Vault member from 2021 alongside creative partner Cheylene Murphy.

Vault Artist Studios has provided a home for their band Beauty Sleep, allowing them to compose and rehearse together. Ryan has performed at festivals such as SXSW, The Great Escape, Electric Picnic, Other Voices and BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend.

Beauty Sleep’s debut album Be Kind was nominated for the N.I Music Prize in 2019 as well as further releases being nominated for “Single of The Year” in 2021 and 2022. They are currently completing their second album.

Ryan works closely with Start Together Studio as a producer recording albums, singles and EPs with artists from Ireland and beyond. 
The work Ryan has composed, produced and mixed has received airplay by BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, XFM, RTÉ 2fm, BBC Radio Ulster and has been featured in Clash, Wonderland, Nialler9, The Irish Times, Hot Press and for TV (Smother, RTÉ One) and film (A Christmas Star, Searching for Socrates).
 
Ryan has designed and delivered educational workshops on production techniques and DIY recording working with Music Generation Ireland, Wall2Wall Music, Belfast City Council and The British Council.
