VAult Shankill Mission’s long journey…

In anticipation of the grand opening of Vault Shankill, in the old Mission Building on the Shankill Road in Belfast, we are sharing this beautifully shot film – yes, shot on actual film – created by and featuring many of the artists who work here.

It’s taken the guts of 18 months to get to the stage where can invite you in. It is impossible to capture or convey the sheer amount of work that has gone into getting this place fit for the foreseeable future (and the work is not over yet); or how important this space is for the creative talent that make up Vault Artist Studios, a multidisciplinary community of practitioners across all the arts; or what it’s meant to the people of the neighbourhood who used it in the past or use it now for dance classes, rehearsals, tool library sessions, etc. but this short gem of a film does a damn good job.
